A MAN aged in his fifties has been found dead at a house in Wickford.
Officers were called to Highcliffe Road at 3.45pm yesterday afternoon along with paramedics.
Residents reported police keeping guard of the property throughout the evening while an investigation was ongoing.
A spokesman for Essex Police says the man's death is currently being treated as unexplained.
She said: "We were called at 3.45pm to reports of a man being found dead at a property in Highcliffe Road.
"Officers attended alongside paramedics. A man aged in his 50s was declared dead at the scene.
"His death is currently being treated as unexplained."
