A NEWSPAPER letter writer who revealed he voted to leave the EU despite wanting Britain to remain has become the subject of online derision.
Barry Bond, from Leigh, wrote to the Telegraph to blame "bookmakers and pollsters" for misleading him that Remain would win last week's historic referendum.
He said: "Did I want the Leave camp to win? No. I voted to leave because I hoped that a near-Brexit would give us extra clout in subsequent battles to reform a bloated, undemocratic EU.
"The bookmakers and pollsters let me down."
Disappointed Vote Leave letter in the Telegraph.
