Man arrested after helicopter and car pursuit in Southend
A MAN was arrested last night after allegedly trying to make off from police in a car.
The police helicopter assisted in the search before the man was detained at about 11.15pm.
The National Police Air Service, based in Boreham, took to Twitter to announce the arrest.
It said: "Search for suspects who had decamped following a short pursuit. One detained by local officers."
