THE hunt is on for a Southend lottery winner who has not claimed their £1million prize money.

The National Lottery is hunting for a winner of the Euromillions UK Millionaire Maker who is a now secret millionaire.

Every week Millionaire Maker guarantees to create two UK millionaires but the lucky winner from the draw on Tuesday 4 October, 2016 has still to check their ticket and claim their prize.

Players in Southend are being urged to check and double-check their unique EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code for the chance to become an instant millionaire.

All players of the UK version of EuroMillions are automatically entered into the UK Millionaire Maker draw.

A Millionaire Maker code is automatically generated for each line of EuroMillions numbers purchased and consists of four letters and five numbers. Each code is then entered into a raffle where two are picked at random in a standard draw to win the prize.

To win one of the guaranteed £1 million prizes, your code has to match all of the characters in the order they appear.

The winning code on 4 October was JFZD09681 and the lucky ticket-holder has until Sunday 2 April, 2017 to claim their prize.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

The National Lottery changes the lives of individuals as well as communities – players raise, on average, over £34 million for National Lottery-funded projects every week.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

“Being able to guarantee two UK millionaires every week with is fantastic and we’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old tickets again or look anywhere it could be hiding, so that this prize can turn someone into the newest member of the lottery millionaire club.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

To help jog players’ memories about what was happening around the time of the draw in question local football club, Southend United, were in action on the day.

The Blues welcomed Leyton Orient to Roots Hall for their EFL Trophy Southern Group G tie and saw off the east London side with a hard-fought 1-0 win.

In total there were 39,987,064 entries into this draw from all participating countries.

The estimated jackpot advertised in the UK prior to the draw was £122,000,000.

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
