RAYLEIGH Town Council has been awarded the Quality Gold certificate, acknowledging their high standard.

Councillor Peter Davey, Chairman of the Local Council Awards Panel, attended Rayleigh Town Council's meeting to present the Quality Gold certificate.

He presented it to to the Chairman, Christine Callis, congratulating the Town Council on this achievement and mentioned that only three other Councils in Essex have attained this level.

The Quality Gold Award demonstrates that a Council is at the forefront of best practice and achieves excellence in governance, community leadership and Council development.

Quality Gold Councils have excellent business planning processes, ensuring value for money as well as constantly seeking new innovations and opportunities to improve.

They highlight the very best that Councils can achieve for their communities.
