POLICE are appealing for information after jewellery, silverware and cash were stolen from a Pitsea home.
Burglars broke into the house in Broomfields Mews sometime between 8.45am and 11am on Thursday March 16.
They stole a 100-year-old gold engagement ring inlaid with diamonds and sapphires, earrings and cash.
They also took six silver goblets and three silver tankards. They were all engraved with either the initials KJ or ERJ and were tarnished.
Detectives would like to speak to witnesses who saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
They are also keen to hear from anyone who has been offered items similar to those stolen.
