CHILDCARE students held a fun ladies evening for a national challenge.
The youngsters from Southend Adult Community College took part in Britain’s biggest nationwide competition for young people - the Tenner Challenge.
Each learner pledged £10 from the Tenner bank - with the students adding theirs together for a group venture - to do something enterprising, make a difference and give back.
The group hosted a ladies evening, supporting International Women’s Day and the event included a raffle, the sale of bath bombs, ear rings, make–up and hair bows, nibbles and refreshments and nail painting.
The competition helps young people develop key skills including creativity, positivity, resilience and problem solving, using real money to take calculated risks in business, while making a positive social impact. Helen Black, Childcare tutor, said she was really proud of all her students.
