REVELLERS were able to enjoy another day of music and festivities at Chalkwell Park.
Thousands have celebrated Southend being the UK’s Alternative City of Culture and commemorated the 125th anniversary of the borough over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Despite the temperamental weather, hundreds still went to celebrate at the Festival of Southend yesterday.
Music from Mo Fingers, Tall Tree Tales, Dexter Shaw and the Wolfe-Tones, Big Jacket, Emily Frith and Angel and the Melodyhorns, entertained the crowds.
There was also great children’s entertainment on offer, including fairground rides, water conservation training, and bee-related craft classes.
