The air ambulance has landed on a patch of grass near the Cliffs Pavilion.
The helicopter was reportedly hovering over the seafront trying to find a spot to land.
It was eventually set down on a grass verge opposite the Cliffs Pavilion near Oliver's Restaurant in Western Esplanade, Southend.
Concern for a female attended earlier on the seafront, taken to hospital for treatment.

It is believed that the emergency services were called after receiving reports of concern for a woman.
PC Daryl Jones tweeted about attending the incident and assisting the air ambulance crew.
Witnesses reported seeing her being wrapped in a foil blanket. She was taken to hospital by land ambulance for further care.
Emergency Services have been contacted for comment.
