Police are trying to trace two teenage boys after an armed robbery at a convenience store in Orsett.

Police were called to the store in Heath Road, at around 8pm yesterday, following reports that two boys had entered the store and threatened staff.

The suspects, who were described as black and aged between 14 and 17 years old, had their faces covered during the incident.

It is believed one may have been carrying a small, black handgun, and the other a knife. They were also described as carrying a red, plastic bag.

The store’s alarm was set off and the suspects then left the scene. Nothing was taken and nobody was injured.
