Rain stops traffic towards A127
Traffic is slow moving on the A127 and surrounding roads as a result of the down pours in Basildon.
The underpass at Basildon beneath the A127 turn off Southend bound and toward Billericay is moving very slowly with police directing traffic.
Essex Weather Centre has said that the most affected areas are Wickford, Basildon and Rayleigh.
