A POPULAR floristry is closing down.

Flowers by Karon, in Canvey Road, Canvey, owned by Karon Gorman, is selling off the rest of its stock before becoming a detox tea and weight loss product retailer called Vida Divina.

Karon, who had been a florist on the island for 20 years, said: “It is a shame.

“I was working 18 hours and I turn 50 next year so I thought it was time to slow down.

“I didn’t want to get ill and let anyone down with the funeral flowers or anything.

“I had started selling the teas and weight loss products and was really enjoying it.”
