A man has been arrested after a mass brawl at a leisure park, which saw the park evacuated.
Basildon Festival Leisure Park was cordoned off by officers after the incident.
Police were called to reports of a fight involving a large group of people in the car park at the Festival Leisure Park, Basildon at around 3.30am today.
A 19 year-old man suffered head injuries after being struck with what is believed to have been a bat.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A 30 year-old man from London has later arrested in connection with a separate assault during the same incident.
He has been arrested on suspicion of assault and affray and is currently in police custody.
