HUNDREDS of people lined the streets to watch a carnival whilst enjoying the party atmosphere.
The Stanford-le-Hope and Corringham Carnival weaved its colourful magic through the town on what was its 11th outing.
Dozens of community groups took part in the procession which left from Park Road in Corringham at 1.30pm on Saturday.
The spectacular convoy then made its way past Corringham Town Centre towards Branksome Avenue before turning towards Stanford High Street and up to the Mobil Field, Billet Lane.
The carnival route included Park Road, Giffords Cross Road, Springhouse Road, Gordon Road, Third Avenue, Branksome Avenue, First Avenue, Dunstable Road, Southend Road, High Street, Church Hill, Corringham Road, Billet Lane and on to the Mobil Field.
This year, the procession featured majorettes, dancers and Disney characters as well as visiting carnival court floats and vintage buses and fire engines.
At the Mobil Field, there was also a craft fair and classic car show for visitors to enjoy.
The carnival’s organiser confirmed all money raised this year will be divided between two worthy causes - Little Havens Children’s Hospice and the Community First Responders.
