The taxi driver who was left in a critical condition after an assault has died.
The man, believe to be in his 60s, was a taxi driver working for AC Radio Cabs.
On Wednesday, the driver was involved in an incident over an alleged dispute with three passengers in Ness Road, Shoebury.
Three teenagers were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but they were released last Thursday under investigation.
Police confirmed two of the girls, aged 16 and 17, are from Shoebury and one, aged 16 is from Southend.
His death is being treated as unexplained and investigations are ongoing.
