A 19-year-old man has been robbed after being forced to take money out of a cash machine at knife point.
The man was walking along Cambridge Road, Westcliff, when he was approached by a man asking him directions to the nearest cash point.
The man then threatened him with a knife and demanded he withdraw hundreds of pounds from the a Barclays Bank cash machine on Southend High Street.
The victim was then taken back to a block of flats in Chiltern where they were joined by another man and the victim was forced to handover the cash.
He was then punched in the face and told to leave.
The first suspect is described as having olive skin; around 5ft 10ins tall, of a muscly build with short black spikey hair and beard stubble.
He was in his early 20s with spotty skin and was wearing a blue Nike hooded top with white writing, dark jeans and dark blue Nike trainers.
The second suspect is described as also being in his early twenties and having olive skin. Around 5ft 9ins tall, of skinny build with a black goatee beard. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and dark jeans.
Witnesses or anyone who saw men matching these descriptions in the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact Dc Andrew Coles at Southend CID on 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
