A Southend golf club has raised more than £7,000 for a homeless charity.
Garon Park Golf Complex, of Eastern Avenue, donated £7383.89 to homeless charity HARP.
They held fundraising events throughout the year, including quizzes.
Garon Park Ladies Club Captain, Debbie Wood, said: “The 2017 captains at Garon Park Golf Club have been proud to support HARP during the captaincy this year, and are very pleased to have raised £7383.89 for such a worthwhile charity.”
Community fundraiser at HARP, Lisa Walton, added: “Fundraising can be so much fun as Garon Park Golf Complex have shown over the last year.
“It means so much to those that are going through such a hard time to know that the local community are behind them, and we are thrilled to receive such a generous donation from the golf club which will help us continue to reach out to those most in need this winter.”
