A traveller encampment has returned to Hannakins Farm in Billericay after it was ordered to leave a town centre car park.
The traveller site that had been based at Radford Crescent car park has pitched up in the car park of the community centre in Linda Gardens, just days after an encampment left Hannakins.
It has not been confirmed if the group is the same that had originally set up an encampment at Hannakins Farm.
A Section 61 notice was served to the encampment based in Radford Crescent to leave before this morning.
The group left yesterday evening.
Following the return of the encampment, which is believed to be in greater numbers than the previous seven caravans, the Hannakins Farm Community Centre has been forced to close and cease hosting any activities on its astroturf football pitches.
The Echo has contacted Basildon Council for comment following the return of the encampment.
