A traveller encampment has been moved along after arriving in Basildon at the beginning of the weekend.
The encampment of six caravans arrived at Festival Leisure Park on Friday evening.
The carpark at Festival Leisure falls under an injunction that Basildon Council have put in place to stop travellers moving onto industrial land.
Stephen Hodge, Ukip councillor for Nethermayne said that the group were very quickly moved off the site by yesterday afternoon.
Mr Hodge said: "They arrived at Festival Leisure on the Friday, there were six caravans which pitched up at the site.
"On Saturday morning at about 8am, two of the caravans had left, by 4pm, I went by there and they had all gone from the site.
"It is a bit of a victory for this council that we have managed to move them on so quickly."
