A CYCLIST suffered cuts and bruises as well as losing a tooth after an incident on the A13.

Police are appealing for information as to how the cyclist came to be injured.

The force were called at around 5.25am on Friday by the ambulance service.

A man in his 30s had come off his bicycle while travelling between Pitsea and the Five Bells Interchange via Basildon Railway Station.

He does not remember what happened and police are looking for information to identify how he came to come off his bike.

Police particularly want to speak to the driver of a vehicle towing a trailer.
