BORED? Want to do something original and challenging?
The Girls Venture Corps Air Cadets are looking to recruit new members to their Southend unit.
The uniformed youth organisation offers a varied programme of activities for girls aged between 11 and 21 including flying, gliding, crafts, sports, raft building, dance, film making, leadership skills and canoeing.
Youngsters can also work towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
The Southend unit has recently relocated to the Cadet Centre, Oak Walk in Leigh and will be holding a new recruit open night on Wednesday, September 12 between 8pm and 9pm.
The event will give anyone interested in joining the group the chance to see what is on offer.
