IF you're looking for ways to entertain the kids this summer, there can't be anything better than a fun and educational day of art.
The Focal Point Gallery, situated in Southend Library has two workshops taking place this month for children.
Serene Scenes, on Tuesday, August 21, gives children of any age the chance to create scenes of serenity with artists Heidi Wigmore.
On Thursday, August 30, children aged from ten to 16 can go along to the gallery and make their own pinhole camera.
Expert Wig Sayell will be on hand to offer advice and assistance.
Children are advised to take along a cardboard box of 15 - 20cms - something like a shoebox is ideal. It needs to be painted black, but spares are on hand.
