Members of Benfleet Horticultural Society are set to welcome Mac Stracey to its meeting on Friday, September 7, to give a talk entitled "Growing bulbs in containers".
Residents should arrive at the WRVS Hall, Richmond Avenue at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
There will be a raffle, plant stall and refreshments. Admission is £3. For more information, call 01268 757637.
