Two adults have been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed.
The teen was walking in Central Avenue, Southend, at 4pm this afternoon when he was stabbed.
Witnesses claim he was walking with his mother at the time.
He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

A police cordon is currently in place in Central Avenue between Lonsdale Road and Hamstel Road.
This is preventing traffic access to Hamstel Road.
A 34-year-old man and a 20-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information.
