A SOUTHEND born broadcaster has again named in the BBC's top five highest earners list.
Steve Wright has been named as the fourth highest earner at the BBC, earning between £550,000 to £559,000 a year.
While the BBC Radio Two is sitting in the top five, having received a raise of £50,000 since appearing in last year's list.
Claudia Winkleman appeared as the best paid women at the BBC with a further eight female broadcasters now earning more than £150,000 a year.
However, no women been placed in the top ten.
BBC Director General, Lord Hall said: "We are making progress and you must understand that.
"We're trying to get a balanced range of men and women and their pay right cross the organisation, I am concentrating on what is a huge change, which is going from 25 per cent of women to 40 per cent of women being in the top, over £150,000 pay... These things take time."
