Children’s charity has Barnardo’s opened a new store in Southend.
The store was opened by the Mayor of Southend, Derek Jarvis on Thursday.
The new charity shop at 17 High Street will sell a range of men’s and women’s clothing as well as books, games, homeware and children’s clothes and toys.
Diane Green, area business manager for Barnardo’s, said: “We need to recruit lots of volunteers so if anyone is interested, even if they can only spare a couple of hours a week, then please do get in touch.
“We hope the people of Southend will enjoy shopping at this latest addition to the High Street, which is more than double the size of some of our other local stores.”
