FOUR cars were damaged in an early morning crash in a residential street in Southend.
A blue Peugeot collided at speed with a van, causing it to then crash into three other vehicles parked along Trinity Road.
The crash happened at around 7.15am.
Several of the cars have been badly damaged, included a Mini which was written off.
The driver of the car, as well as passengers, then fled the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Officers from our Local Policing Team are investigating an incident in Southend, yesterday, July 21, which left four cars badly damaged.
"We were called at around 7.15am with reports that a blue car had driven into a number of vehicles in Trinity Road.
"The occupants of the blue Peugeot were reported to have left the vehicle and run from the scene.
"Police attended, and nobody was injured.
"The car has been forensically recovered and enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible for the damage.
