Everywhere you go today you see flats springing up or should I say apartments as developers like to call them?

We have a housing shortage. Instead of bleating about over-development let's think outside the box. I can think of thousands of green field sites that nobody uses or wants and would go dirt cheap for low cost accommodation.

I'm talking roundabouts. The well-to-do wouldn't want to live on them so prices would stay low allowing essential workers excellent transport links. Just look at Sadlers Farm roundabout, think how many flats you could build there then multiply that by the thousands of similarly underused areas. Housing problem solved.
