Part of Billericay High Street is set to shut before Halloween among four other upcoming south Essex temporary road closures.

High Street/Stock Road in Billericay will be closed from the junction with Western Road to the junction with Radford Way - a distance of approximately 145m - on October 30.

The closure is set to be in place for three days while Essex Highways carries out carriageway patching works. An alternative route is available via Stock Road, St Andrews Drive, Norsey Road and vice versa.


Golden Jubilee Way, in Wickford, is set to be closed from its junction with Nevendon Road Roundabout to its junction with London Road Roundabout for 14 nights from November 9.

Nevendon Road Roundabout from its junction with Kingsley Meadows for a distance of about 40m in a southeasterly direction will also be shut. 

The closures will be in place from 8pm until 5am while ducting across carriageway works are undertaken by Global Utility Connections.

An alternative route is available via Nevendon Road Bypass, Nevendon Road Roundabout, Southend Arterial Road Slip Road from A132 to A127, Southend Arterial Road, Southend Arterial Road Slip Road from A127 to A130, Arterial Road Slip Road from A127 to A1245, Fairglen Interchange, Chelmsford Road, Carpenters Arms Roundabout, London Road, Southend Road, Golden Jubilee Way and vice versa.


The Gore, Ghyllgrove in Basildon, is set to shut from its junction with Butneys to its junction with Roselaine on November 13 for three days while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Roselaine, Butneys and vice versa.


Seax Way will be closed in Laindon from its junction with Sable Way for a distance of about 25m in a northwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to start on October 28 for 14 days while Openreach carries out ducting and spine cabling works.

An alternative route is available via Hornsby Way, Fenton Way and vice versa (with access only into Seax Way).


Stansfield Road is set to shut in Benfleet from its junction with Hazelwood - for a distance of about 50m in a south easterly direction - on November 6 for five days.

The closure is required while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Seamore Avenue, Woodside Avenue, Rushbottom Lane and vice versa (with access only into Stansfield Road).
