A STOLEN sports car worth up to £100,000 has been seized by police after it was found being stored in a garage.
Members of Thurrock Council contacted officers from Essex Police's community policing team on Thursday to tell them of a vehicle being stored inside a garage in Tilbury.
Officers tracked down the garage, where they found a black Jaguar F-Type. These luxury sports cars sell for up to £103,075.
The Jaguar had been stolen on Monday, February 19, from the Stanford-le-Hope area.
The vehicle was seized for forensic examination.
A spokesman for Essex Police in Thurrock said: "Members of Thurrock council contacted the team, telling them of a vehicle being stored inside a garage in Tilbury.
"The team managed to locate the garage. Inside, they found this black Jaguar F-Type. The Jaguar had been stolen on February 19 from the Stanford-Le-Hope area.
"The vehicle was seized for forensic examination and we hope to reunite it with its owner very soon."
