JAKE Quickenden is reportedly set to put his cooking skills to the test after being signed up for the next series of a huge reality show.
The 35-year-old, who lives in Boxted, is joining the star-studded cast of Celebrity MasterChef according to the Sun newspaper.
A source told the tabloid: “Jake's very popular with viewers, as proved by his success in the jungle and on Dancing on Ice, so bosses were chuffed when he agreed to do it.
“He’s shared a few cooking vlogs on his social media, so he might surprise people with his talents.”

Who is on the new series of Celebrity MasterChef?
Show bosses have not officially confirmed the line-up for the new series, but the Sun has also reported Dominic Skinner, a judge on the BBC show Glow Up, is set to join the cast.
Diane Carson from the latest series of The Traitors and Geordie Shore favourite Charlotte Crosby are also among the famous faces rumoured to be joining presenters Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
A start date for the 19th series of Celebrity MasterChef has not yet been confirmed.
The BBC has been approached for comment.
Last week, we reported Jake will be treading the boards at Charter Hall in Colchester as he takes on the leading role of Buddy the elf in Elf the Musical.
Who is Jake Quickenden?
Jake Quickenden appeared on the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012, getting as far as the judges' houses.
He auditioned again two years later, getting through to the live shows, where he was eliminated in the third week.
Later that year, Jake participated in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! finishing as the runner-up to Carl Fogarty.
He later went on to win the tenth series of Dancing on Ice and has since appeared on other TV shows and in musicals.
The 35-year-old grew up in Scunthorpe but has since relocated to Essex.
