A DESPERATE family are pleading for help to find a vulnerable man who has been missing for more than a month without vital medication.
Stephen Taylor, who is vulnerable and relies on his medication, has not been seen since April 13 and has links across south Essex, including Laindon, Canvey and Southend.
His family are now desperately pleading for the public’s help after weeks of searching for him without no luck.
Essex Police issued a missing person appeal shortly after he was reported missing, but now his family are speaking out in an effort to raise Stephen’s profile in the hope he is found.
David Taylor, his brother, said: “We are all so worried.
“My family is in pieces. We just want to find Stephen and know he is okay.
“We have all been out looking and search, but it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
“I am just so worried. He is vulnerable and suffers with his mental health. He doesn’t have his medication either.
“It has been more than four weeks since he went missing. He hasn’t been heard of or seen since.”
Stephen’s family say no money has gone from his bank account since he went missing, and there hasn’t been any activity on his phone since April 15. The 57-year-old has connections to Canvey and Southend, despite living in Laindon.
Essex Police put out an initial appeal at the beginning of the month looking for Stephen.
A spokesman said: “Can you help us find Stephen Taylor who is missing from Basildon?
“Stephen hasn’t been seen by anyone since April 13 and we would like to make sure he is okay.
“The 56-year-old is described as white, 6ft 1ins tall, of large build and has brown shaved hair.
“Stephen also wears glasses and was last seen wearing a black fleece top and black cargo trousers.
“In the past, Stephen has been known to frequent Canvey and Southend.
“If you are with Stephen, know where he is or have any information that could help us, call 999 and quote 493 of April 15.”
Stephen’s family say although he had shaved hair, this may have grown since he went missing.
