A £1MILLION children’s centre is set to open in East Tilbury next year.
The centre will have day care, breakfast and after-school clubs.
It will also offer ante-natal care, parent and toddler groups, adult learning, job centre plus and counselling services.
The project has been largely funded by Little Angels Day Nurseries, with help from Thurrock Council.
Proprietors Linda Byas and Jane Wolski are excited about the centre, situated in the grounds of East Tilbury Infant School, in Princess Margaret Road.
Linda said: “We can work together to provide not only high quality child care, but also much- needed services for the East Tilbury area.”
The centre is part of Sure Start, a Government initiative which aims to have a Sure Start Children’s Centre Centre in every community by 2010.
The centre is expected to be completed by the end of November and to open in January.
