THE wheels came off the Dockers’ late run for the play-off places with this defeat at Ilford.

The Foxes pulled off their third successive win with this success and look to have a good chance of beating relegation.

This victory was particularly meritorious as it was achieved while playing with 10 men for an hour, Chris Thomas being sent off in the first-half for a second bookable offence.

Thomas had grabbed the only goal after 35 minutes and, despite second-half pressure, Tilbury could not reply.

Their best chance came in stoppage time but home keeper Pepe Diagne pulled off a fine save from Chris Stowe.
