THE dance diva who turned the Nineties club scene on its head with her smash hit Show Me Love, is coming to Southend.

Robin S will be live on stage at Storm Nightclub, in Elmer Approach, tonight, to perform the song – one of the biggest dance anthems of all time.

The singer was born and raised in New York and began performing at the age of five in a church choir.

Snapped up by label Big Beat Records in 1993, Robin released her first single Show Me Love, which became an instant club hit.

The tune achieved success, charting at number six in the UK singles chart and five on the Billboard Hot 100 in America.

Her second single Love For Love was another huge floor filler and sealed her position as a true dance diva.

In 1997, the songstress was back in the limelight with her follow up album From Now On, which spawned the hit It Must Be Love.

Robin’s success has continued into the 21st century and in 2004, she completed a European tour.

Show Me Love is still making an impact on the music scene, with Steve Angello and Laidback Luke’s remix currently featuring on BBC Radio 1’s playlist.

Diason Paye, promotions manager at Storm, says: “Show Me Love has been played at the club week in week out since it opened.

“Having her perform at Storm is like having royalty.

“She is going to take the roof off the place and it’s an absolute honour to have her here.”

DJ Scott Marshall will also be playing club anthems at the Irresistible night, which is strictly for over 25s.

Admission is £3 before 10.30pm, and £5 after. Doors open at 9pm.
