BLUES, folk and skiffle specialists Split Whiskers feel their way around two venues this week.
The band play the New Crawdaddy Blues Club, Crays Hill, tomorrow night, before dropping into Blues at the Farm, Billericay, on Saturday afternoon.
Split Whiskers mix superb musicianship with infectious humour on stage. Vocal duties fall to resident wit, comic and harp player Gilby J Fletcher, who is effortlessly supported by Johnny Wright on acoustic and electric guitars.
The rest of the line-up is bassist Brad Marriner, keyboard and accordion player James Doherty and Mick Carpenter on drums. Admission to the New Crawdaddy Blues Club, held at the Belvedere, in Harding Elms Road, is £6 and doors open at 8.15pm.
Saturday’s gig at Blues at the Farm, held at Barleylands Social Club, is £5 for members and £5.50 for non-members. The music gets underway at 2pm.
