As a responsible person, with two dogs, I wholeheartedly agree with those who protested against the ludicrous dog ban (June 15).
The majority of dog owners would not dream of leaving behind any mess, whether it be on a beach or anywhere else.
Whatever regulations are in place, there will always be those who ignore them.
I would be far more concerned about all the broken bottles on our beaches.
I have trodden in dog mess which ignorant dog owners have not bothered to pick up and can see both sides of the argument.
What is the point of having a public consultation, if the views of the majority are going to be ignored?
