A TEN-YEAR-OLD Brownie is over the moon after winning a charity pot-painting competition.
Lucy Gibbs, of 4th Hockley Brownies, has been named as the Essex winner of Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Paint Your Mini Pot competition.
She was chosen for her creative daffodil pot design, as part of the Mini Pots of Care fundraising activity for schools and groups.
It involved children aged three to 11 getting their hands dirty by growing daffodils to raise funds for Marie Curie nursing care.
Lucy was awarded a painting kit and the Brownie pack was given £50 in book vouchers, donated by Yellow Pages, which also gave a matched donation of £50 to the charity. She also got a cuddly dog donated by City Link.
