I am disgusted the price of a car park season ticket for Southend United has remained identical for the last three seasons and potentially omitting cup games due to availability.

The price for the car park rose drastically when we achieved promotion to the Championship, from £50 to £92. We were told more space was required for commercial reasons due to the promotion, predominately vehicles for television, hence space was at a premium. This was understandable and reasonably acceptable. Unfortunately we were relegated back to Division 1. Did the price for the car park revert back to the original rate? Did it hell.

And now the club has the temerity to potentially take away parking for cup games. It’s a disgrace I will be re-newing my car park season ticket to support my club, however if for one game next season I am not permitted to park within the confines of the ground, it will be my last as a season ticket holder.
