Mark Howard, (letters July 15), criticises me because, as an Independent MP, I am free of Party whips. I simply do what is right for people.
Had Mark done what the people want, rather than follow his Tory whip, he may not have lost both his seats on the Borough and County Councils.
People want politicians to work for them and stick to policy, not throw mud at each other.
The Tories criticise Labour on bingo tax, the 10p tax removal and Dartford Crossing tolls, but refuse to correct these things if they win power.
