A MAN narrowly avoided falling out of a Southend tower block window after a pane of glass fell through.
He had been washing the window of his flat, in Quantock, Chichester Road, when it fell 13 floors and smashed on the ground.
Luckily the stool the man was standing on fell backwards and he avoided injury.
