HE once opened at the Albert Hall for Ray Charles, but Paul Cox still promises a great show in rather more humble settings.

The Paul Cox Band perform at the New Crawdaddy Blues Club, in Crays Hill, tomorrow.

Paul made an appearance at the club last season as part of the Blues Pack, but now brings his own band, with a new line-up.

Hailing from Wolverhampton, Paul is also in great demand as a studio session singer. He has also performed on stage with Paul Rogers of Free and Bad Company.

The band, consisting of Paul on guitar and vocals, Angelo Boretone on bass, Andrew Hedges on organ and piano and Ron Greenwood on drums, will play blues covers and originals. Support on the night is from the Heaters. Doors open at 8.15pm at the club in the Belvedere, Harding Elms Road. Admission is £7. Visit 01702 347007 or visit www.newcrawdaddyclub.co.uk
