TWO groups of teenagers met for an organised fight at Rochford railway station.

The pre-arranged punch-up involved up to 50 youths who are believed to have set it up through Facebook.

It left a 16-year-old in hospital after he was hit in the face with a glass bottle. The boy, who is from Rochford, had to have stitches for his injuries.

British Transport Police believe that members of one of the groups are from Southend and that they travelled to Rochford from Prittlewell at around 8.30pm on Friday January 29.

The other group involved is believed to be predominately from the Rochford area and arrived at the station at about 9pm.
