Tamsin Shrimplin wants to raise money for children affected by the Haiti earthquake, after being moved by their plight.
Tamsin, of Bull Lane, Rayleigh, will be doing the jump on Tuesday.
She said: “I was going to do it for Little Havens because that is the charity of the year for my school’s house, but seeing a presentation at school about the earthquake, I thought it would be more relevant.
“My parents were a bit shocked, but they are really supportive of me and are paying half of it.”
