SOUTHEND United have avoided administration after its £378,000 tax debt was paid by supermarket giant Sainsbury's.
The club were given seven days to clear the Inland Revenue bill last week, but on Wednesday the High Court heard the full debt and undisclosed costs were paid in full before the hearing.
