MS DYNAMITE withdrew from the music scene for five years with no word on her long-awaited third album – until now.

Back in 2002, practically everyone was humming the catchy lyrics “Ms Dy-na-mi-TEE-ee”.

She hit the pop scene back then with a vengeance, her debut album A Little Deeper attracted rave reviews and won the Mercury music prize.

Her second album in 2006, Judgement Days, faired less well among the critics and in the charts and her label pulled the plug.

Ms Dynamite, real name Niomi Mclean-Daly, shyed away from the mainstream scene, preferring to add her voice to a series of songs, including DJ Zinc’s Wile Out.

She also appeared on Lights On, the second hit single from London dubstep star Katy B.

But now the wait is over, and she will be releasing her third album Neva Soft on July 18.

Fans of the feisty musician will be able to see her perform when she comes to Element Nightclub, Alexandra Street, Southend, tomorrow.

She will perform a live PA which will include the tracks Wile Out, Red Light and Lights On, as well as old favourites including, Dy-na-mitee and Boo.
