Why is the word “victims” used in relation to those people who have been caught endangering the lives of children outside schools through illegal parking?
If these two cars act as a deterrent to dangerous parking in residential areas and those near schools when children are entering or leaving then surely this is a good thing.
What if a child was injured or killed as a result of this parking? If people do not want to get fined then the solution is simple –do not park illegally!
Parking regulations are there for a reason.

...It cannot be just coincidence that in the Echo (July 19) two adjacent headlines read: “£6,500 in fines from spy cars in 17 days” and “More council staff see salaries top £50,000.”
We now know the true reason Southend Council introduced the spy cars. No doubt more spy cars will be able to provide even more council staff with similar extortionate salaries.
