I can’t help but think the law in this country has gone stark raving mad.
A motorist who gets a puncture and pulls into a bus bay to change the wheel rather than obstruct the highway is fined.
An Animal Aid film alleging cruelty to pigs is dismissed by an abattoir as not being from its premises, but then asks the police to investigate a case of alleged trespass by those who claim to have taken the film.
A thief who is caught red-handed, having broken into a vehicle and is still in the vehicle with stolen property when the police arrive is let off due to lack of evidence.
Just how much evidence does the CPS require?
