A WOMAN forced to walk for help after her classic car broke down on the A130 came back to find it had been stolen.
The owner had been driving along the Chelmsford-bound carriageway of the A130, close to Sadler's Farm, when the grey Morris Minor convertible broke down on Saturday evening, September 24.
She left the car on the verge, out of the way of traffic, and went to get help, but when she returned the car was gone.
Initial enquiries suggest it was not moved by a vehicle recovery firm and police are now treating the incident as a crime.
Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the car, registration number NNM473, should call Grays police station on 0300 3334444 and ask for investigating officer PC Emma Ridings, or 101 within Essex.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
