FIRE crew throughout Essex were put on full emergency alert over fears for an incoming plane at Southend Airport.
Machines from Southend, Leigh, Hawkwell, Shoebury, Rochford, Malden and Grays all attended the scene this afternoon.
They were alerted at 12.30pm about a plane containing three passengers which was suffering from hydraulic and landing gear problems.
It safely landed on the runway at Southend Airport just before 1.30pm.
